"My name is Daniel Baldwin, the general manager of Kurt's Auto Wrecking Pic A Part, in American Fork, Utah. And we'd like to tell you how to sell a car with no paper work; for junk. The way you do this is you go down to the DMV, and you fill out a paper; it's called an affidavit for application for duplicate title, and you fill that out and you submit it to an DMV. In six to eight days they will send you a new title for that vehicle, and then it's just like you had a title in the first place. And you can come in with that title or we can come tow it with that title and buy that car from ya'. But it is required that you go down and file for that paper. You cannot sell a car on just the affidavit for application. You really need to go in the DMV, and they stamp it and submit it, and they'll send you a title when six to eight days in Utah. It may be a little longer in some states with a larger population. That shouldn't really be a problem, but anywhere you go you just go in the DMV and submit it, and they can get you a title as long as you were the registered owner previously."
