"Hi, I'm Nancy Frensley, I'm the training manger at Berkeley East Bay Humane Society in Berkeley California. We're going to talk today about taking care of your Irish Setters. One of the things people love the most about the Irish Setters is their beauty. They are large ornate dogs with fabulous looking coats and a great gait, they look like they're ballet dancers when they flow along in that lovely gait. As with most of the dogs in the gundog or sporting breed category, they do need a lot of exercise and they need a lot of mental exercise, they'll be wanting to work. These dogs are built to work and as well as built to be beautiful. In order to keep them beautiful you're going to have to keep that coat brushed out and give them a good diet that really supports that great looking coat. Nothing is more beautiful than a Irish Setter in motion. And your Setter will also be a very loyal attached family pet."
