"Hi, I'm Lorna Campodonico, faux painter and decorative artist and I'm going to show you how to suede paint a wall. You take the paint, and be sure and put it if you're doing it a big wall you're going to put it and of course in a bigger bucket. And you can use a roller to do the first coat of the whole wall. I'm showing you on a small area and I'm doing a French brush technique, which is taking the brush and just loading it with the paint and doing x's over and over again. And you get this swirl pattern which when the paint dries with the sand in it, it looks like it has the appearance of suede because the sand rises to the surface. Keep doing this and be sure you tape off the surface. This is a messy job. Sometimes you'll get glumps that fall down the wall. Be sure you have a canvas on the floor. You have taped off all of your baseboards and your crown moldings and any door surfaces. Because getting the paint off after it dries is not an easy prospect. And we just keep doing this and as you see it just forms sort of a circular pattern. And they have this in a variety of colors. This is the camel, but they have persimmon orange. They have red. They have greens. Now you can paint the wall a similar color and you don't have to do as many coats. Because that color will come through. If you have a white wall you'll have to do a couple coats or you'll see those white marks. And when you're finished you have something that looks like this. It has the surface, you can see the sand. I just got that wet, surface has the sand coming up and it gives the appearance of suede. It's very durable. You can touch it up really easy and it's a great finish for just about any room. And that's Lorna Campodonico and that's suede finishes. Thanks."
