"Hi my name is Lauren and I'm here to discuss how to remove chemicals from hair. There are many toxins and chemicals that your hair can create, accumulate throughout the day. Through many activities that we do, we wind up actually putting chemicals in our hair when we go swimming we put chlorine in our hair. It's just the way that our hair picks up the water and the chlorine. Chlorination actually stays within our hair. A good thing to get the chemical of chlorine out of your hair is to use a clarifying shampoo or a detox shampoo. What they do is they have a little bit more of emulsification and they have a little bit higher cleansing power. What that does is basically strips that chlorine or anything else that is in your hair out of your hair. By deep cleaning your hair. You do want to be careful when you are using a clarifying shampoo especially if your hair is colored. If your hair is colored it does have the strength and capacity to actually strip your hair color out as well. If your hair is chemically treated through color then you would want to use a clarifying shampoo during the summer maybe once a week. The detox shampoos will also are a bit stronger in cleansing and they will also strip out some color. You can find ones that is color safe, however I still wouldn't recommend using it on a daily basis. In order to remove something like color, what you can do is use clarifying shampoo or a detox shampoo however it would take a very long time. If you are looking to remove color that has already been placed within your hair, you would want to go for a color remover. Color remover ultimately breaks down any molecules, artificial color molecules that are attached to your hair. And then it will break them down and wash them away. Color remover also does not touch the natural pigmentation of your hair so therefore it will bring you back to where you are naturally and prevent your own natural hair color from lifting out. So color remover will be great in order to get the chemical of color out of your hair. Perms and straighteners unfortunately, there is no real way to reverse them and get them out of your hair, you can use olive oil and things to tame a perm and try to release a perm. However the chemical will still be within your hair the best thing to get those chemicals out is to grow them out. And that is how to remove chemicals from your hair."
