"Hi I'm Lauren and today I'm here to discuss how to make your own hair gel. There's a few different ways that you can actually go about doing it. The first way is to use a handful of flaxseeds and wash them in cold water for about two minutes before adding them to a half a cup of water that you have boiling on low heat on over your over range. Once you have that boil, boil it for about two minutes with the water with the flaxseed in it. After it's done boiling for about two minutes or three minutes, then what you're going to do is you're going to take it off the range and let it cool for about 10 to 15 minutes. You're going to then sift out your flaxseeds and use the remaining mixture of the water in order to sit cool for the 10 to 15 minutes. Another way to do it is to use two and a half cups of water, boil it on medium heat on your oven range and you can actually even add a little bit of gelatin. You add one tablespoon of gelatin to it and the gelatin will help it congeal and get more of a gel-like consistency. Once boiled, you will then have it sit again till it reaches about room temperature and you'll notice that the consistency of it with the gelatin it will make it a little bit more congealed and a little bit more like a gel. You may use both of these gels at room temperature. The one with gelatin you may actually also refrigerate and then use again or heat up again and then let it go to room temperature, however you like to use it. Another good way to quick and easy way to style your hair without using a gel is using fresh lime juice. If you use one or two limes and if you get the squeeze them to get the juice out of them, you can actually use lime juice as a styling agent. However I do not suggest using it for more than two or three days, you want it more for like an emergency type basis. Because if you use it for three or more days, you will wind up altering the PH of your hair. So lime juice is more of your quick fix and other than that, you can go back and make your own hair gel. And that is how to make your own hair gel."
