"Hi I'm Scott and I'm the owner of Climb On indoor rock climbing gym in Wilmington, North Carolina. Today we're going to discuss daisy chains for rock climbing. Obviously any time that you are going to use a piece of equipment for rock climbing or get into the sport it is important to get the proper instruction on the use of each piece of gear. A good way to do that is at your local indoor rock climbing gym with a qualified professional. Daisy chains are generally used as anchor points for someone. The important thing to know about a daisy chain is that they are rated for their strength from end to end. You'll see that there are many loops in a daisy chain. If this is fully extended then it's o'kay. If you take a dynamic fall on it where you shock load the daisy chain these inner loops can be pulled out because again it is only rated from end to end. To be able to know that and know what your daisy chain can hold, the proper weight and what it can hold in a force or a fall, you're going to want to make sure that you get the proper instruction from a qualified professional at your local indoor climbing chain. This has been a daisy chain for rock climbing."
