"Hello my name is Scott and I'm the owner of Climb On Indoor rock climbing gym in Wilmington, North Carolina. Today we are going to discuss where to get a climbing boot. When you talk about climbing boot generally you are going to be mountaineering or hiking. My favorite boot is Oslo. They are great for hiking, mountaineering, putting your clamp ons on and general overall outdoor use. If you are looking for rock climbing generally you are not going to be wearing a boot. You are going to go to a rock climbing shoe. These shoes are covered with special climbing rubber where as your boot isn't. The boots are better for hiking and mountaineering because they have more ankle support. Generally they are waterproof and a little bit warmer. To be worn again when we are hiking or mountaineering. Any time that you are looking to purchase this type of thing you can find them at your local indoor rock climbing gym or your outdoor outfitter. Any time that you are buying something like that to go outdoors, you want to make sure that you get the proper instruction for what you are looking to do, even if it's just hiking. This has been how to find a climbing boot."
