"Hello my name is Scott and I'm the owner of Climb On indoor rock climbing gym in Wilmington, North Carolina. Today we are going to talk about rappelling while rock climbing. Generally when you rappel during a rock climb you are being lowered from your volar. These skills are very dangerous and it is important to get the proper instruction from a qualified professional at your indoor local rock climbing gym. Rock climbing and rappelling is inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. With the proper instruction this can be a safe fun way to get down after you climb up a wall. Once our climber reaches the top and they are ready to rappel, they're going to sit back in their rappel seat and I'm just going to start to begin to lower them down all the way to the ground. Once your climber is lowered, the rappel is over. Again I can't stress enough how important it is to get the proper instruction on how this works. This has been rappelling while rock climbing."
