"Hello, my name is Scott and I'm the owner of Climb On, indoor rock climbing gym in Wilmington, North Carolina. Today we're going to discuss renting rock climbing equipment for kids. Anytime that you're renting rock climbing equipment you want to make sure that you get the proper instruction from a local professional. Your indoor climbing gym in your local area can rent you this equipment and give you the professional instruction that you would need to have your children rock climb. Some of the equipment that you may rent would be a harness, maybe some climbing shoes and a chalk bag. Most children under the age of 11 or 12 can climb in their sneakers or water shoes. Renting rock climbing equipment can be very dangerous. I can't stress enough how important it is to have the proper instruction from your local indoor rock climbing gym and a professional in that gym. Anytime that we rent equipment it's going to be a size for that child. That's a kid's harness, it's nice and small, it's going to fit them correctly. You want to make sure that when it's put on that the instructor or the professional that's doing it has it above their hip bones and good and tight. This has been renting rock climbing equipment for children."
