"Hi my name is Dr. Kim Makoi, I'm a holistic chiropractor located in San Francisco, California. And this is how to boost your metabolism using herbs. I should start by saying that if you do want to boost your metabolism by using herbs, you should consult with a licensed herbalist because many of the herbs used for boosting metabolism available in the market right now is basically forms of speed. And they can be dangerous to some people. The effects of these herbs are very similar to some of the speed like drugs such as cocaine and meth so they are not actually healthy or safe ways to boost your metabolism. They may cause you to burn more calories but they do so by stressing the body. Safer ways to boost your metabolism are going to be by keeping your blood sugar even throughout the day, eating small meals throughout the day. Maybe five to six small meals instead of three large meals and definitely avoid skipping meals. You also want to increase your water intake and that will help to even out your hunger sensations. And that's the safer way to boost your metabolism."
