"Birds in the wild get their food by foraging. They'll go to crops and get wheat and corn, and things like that. Or berries and nuts, and things like that. Birds that are in the pet category need to depend on you to get their food. You should read the labels on your food and so forth. Make sure that their food is given to them on a regular basis. The right amount of food for the size bird that you have. And make sure that they get plenty of fruits and vegetables. Once these birds are caged and pet; are pets that where they get their food is your responsibility. It's your responsibility to make sure that they have a proper diet. That they get pellets or seeds or fruits and vegetables, and any minerals or anything that you feel that their diet is lacking. That is up to you to make sure that your pet gets what it needs."
