"Ok today I am going to show you a couple of things about fish cleaning equipment. First of all when cleaning a fish you are definitely going to need a good knife. Filleting knife is nice to have you know you want one that flexes a little bit. You know and you are going to need this to gut the fish and then do some fillets. I also use it for scaling, some people use a fish scaler which is basically a serrated edge tool and they run it up against the, from the tail to the head of the fish to remove the scales. But what I'll take, tend to do is do the back of the blade, and scrape it right up the fish and that will take off all the scales if you do have a scaly fish. And then if you don't, if you have like a catfish or anything like that they don't have the scales. They need to be skinned. So they make a product here, skin pliers. And what you'll do is you'll cut here, take your knife and cut around the skin at the top of the catfish and you grab a hold of it with your pliers and you are going to pull it back and then you can cut it into fillets or whatever you, the way you want to eat it. So I hope you learned a little bit about some of the cleaning tools that we use for to clean fish."
