"How to make your own home recording studio. First of all the hardest thing in recording music is the drums in my experience. Drums are really hard to record because you can't necessarily just plug them in like you can a guitar. You have to have the right mikes in the right position in the right room and it is tough to do on your own. There are ways you can record drums in a studio and then take it back to your home and then record guitars. You can record vocals and bass and all that stuff at home pretty easily especially now with computer systems and all you need really is a sound board or plug ins that plug into your computer that have the sound board already in the software form and there is stuff you can actually download off the internet that is free that is legal. There are actually free programs out there that you can actually download that will allow you to add more tracks and tracks are just pretty much if you record a vocal you record a guitar and that is considered one track and you can add more if there would be a second guitar that would be on track two or track, three, or track four, you have all these different instruments. Software programs are mixing hardware, allows you to add more tracks and more instruments and more layers so if you have that you will need microphones, especially if you are recording vocals you would want a vocal mike. There is a specific vocal mike that you use. There are instrument mikes that you use to record guitars, amplifiers, horns, anything that might, anything that does not plug in directly you would use instrument mikes, same thing with drums, you would use instrument mikes and special drum mikes for that so you have your microphones, you've got instruments and that's pretty much all you would need to record your music at home."
