"How do to a fouette. A fouette is a turn on one leg with the opposing leg opening and closing in an alsecone position. The important thing to remember of any turn in ballet is to spot and use your upper body. The arms should prepare to a front first position opening to second with the legs and then bringing back to first position each rotation around. The supporting leg should be straight and high on relevae on rising on to the demi point of the toe. The working leg is going to diplopia to a front position open to the side and then pull in to passe at the height of the turn. I will demonstrate one now."
