"What is gum made of now? Well this little stick right here is made of confectioner sugar, corn starch, chewing gum base, corn syrup, natural peppermint flavor, natural fruit flavor. The gum base puts the chew in the chewing gum, because it binds all the ingredients together to make it a nice, soft, velvety texture. Finest grades of pure powdered cane sugar, beat sugar, and corn syrup are used in the production of most sugar sweetened chewing gums. Several types of high intensity sweeteners, are used in sugar-free gum products, and as flavor enhancers in some other brands. These artificial sweeteners deliver long lasting, noncaloric taste, and do not promote tooth decay. Glycerin, and other vegetable oil products, help keep the gum soft, and flexible by retaining the proper amount of moisture. Ingredients like manitol, and sorbitol, ensure the proper density of a product. All of these ingredients, make one of my favorite snacks, a pack of gum. I'm Jan from Kitchen Kitchen."
