So, if you think your cat has intestinal parasites, one symptom would be diarrhea, weight loss, malnutrition, or or thin looking, and with kittens especially a a bloated belly looking type of of aspect, check with your veterinary clinic. But generally, the major par parasites that we see intestinally in cats are are varied, but what we have are roundworms which typically look something like this. They're spaghetti looking. They cause a lot of problems in kittens. They they absorb nutrition; they make that large bloated belly appearance. We also see lots of hookworms in cats. Tapeworms are a very common internal intestinal parasite as well. Tapeworms come from fleas, they're segmented, and they look like rice when they come out in the stool, or they'll be, or they'll look like dried rice around the tail. Also, a common parasite in cats that we see is giardia, and also, we do see a lot of coccidia, which is a type; these are both protozoal types of one-celled organisms that can cause a lot of intestinal problems as well."
