"Hi, my name is Mike Mitchell and today I'd like to tell you how to print a brochure either for a small business or for some organization that you're in, basically this is just one example of a brochure that we have around here. And there are a number of different areas that you need to think about before you actually go to the printer and print something out. The first one would be the design. You have to come up with some design for your brochure and pretty much any design in the world is OK as long as you think it through and figure out what you really want. Ultimately there are some basics though for design. Number, subcategory in a design, you need to have a good cover. Some covers generally don't really tell you what is in the brochure so you need to have a clear and concise picture or graphic that really explains what is in the brochure so that when somebody looks at it the first thing they have in their mind is some connection to what the brochure is about. Also, generally colors and text, the colors need to be bright and vibrant and the text needs to be fairly large and easy to read. Nobody wants to have to dig down and pull out a magnifying glass to read the text so it needs to be very easy and understandable, easy to read and flow and you can have a graphic designer or somebody help you with this. Number two, once you get the design made up, you have to find a printer. Most printers these days will assist you with the layout. Many printers have in-house graphic design departments and they will also give you the costs and tell you the type of paper that you will want to print it on. Most brochures generally have a thicker weight than a general piece of copy paper or writing paper and your printer can give you different examples to show you what kind you would want for yours. And finally, number three, distribution. For your brochure, there are lots of different ways to distribute it, either by hand or by mail and basically this is a basic idea of what you have to go through before you print a brochure. Thanks."
