"Let's talk about how to keep your cat warm when it's outside. Always provide a shelter for your cat. Actually, small dog houses work very well, and you want to keep that warm by using blankets and bedding, which works very well, and that will help your cat stay warm, especially in the winter months. Cats do have fur, but they are not immune to the effects of the cold, especially if it gets really cold, around freezing, you need to bring these cats in anyway. Doggie doors sometimes work very well also to let them come in and out as they want to. But the basic concept of this whole thing is if they are provided with a shelter and especially some type of bedding, even towels can work, their body heat is going to reflect into that and keep them warm as well."
