"Hi, I'm Pat Goodwin with Pat Goodwin Associates. How to find government employee salaries is the question today. I would suggest that when a job is listed for a fill or for hire, they will always list a range of salaries, so if you're looking to see generally what a salary might be for a certain position, you might go and look at government jobs that are advertised and then be in to see what types of jobs are advertised, what level of jobs they are and there will be a salary range or a grade listed. That could give you a ballpark figure about maybe salaries listed for the government positions. You could also go to salary.com or salarywizard.com and put in your salary, and put in possibly a government job in a city that you're applying for and see what will come up. That's really a good, good comparison to what you've been making versus what the job might be listed for. There's always flexibility on salary. There's always more money in another bucket, so if you find a position that you are generally interested in, and it is a government job and you are interested in transitioning into government work, then don't stop from applying based on salary necessarily. If they really like your skills and you're screened in for skills, and you can be somewhat flexible on salary, then they can always adjust their listed salary to a little bit more than what they have listed as the range. You may be willing to give up salary in order, and they may be willing to pay a little bit more salary for them to be compatible, relationship and the job offer. Hope that's helpful to find, how to find employee's salaries in the government."
