"How to create music and get a record deal? Two totally different things. Creating music is one thing. Getting a record deal, is definitely another. Creating music, obviously you either put to together musicians. Get into a room, work out parts, work out songs. Basically, it's a lot of time, more collaboration between different people. I find is better. If you're doing it all yourself, you might be doing too much. That makes things sound one dimensional. I think, the true magic of creating music comes when you put multiple people together. If you have a DJ on records. You have somebody making beats, have someone rapping. That's the way people collaborate in putting their ideas together. Together to get the best ideas. Maybe put the best product forward. Getting a record deal is easy. All you have to do is, write a hit song. Everybody knows that. Alright, but seriously, to get noticed. You have to play up. You have to play live venues. You have to start small. You'll play for free. Wedding, birthdays, Bar Mitzvahs whatever you can get to. Bat Mitzvahs, I guess as well. But yeah, play as much as you can. Build up the following. Internet's a great place to kind of, get your music out there. Places like My Space will do those things like that, for you. There's a lot of different websites dedicated to musicians coming up from nowhere. Building their own stuff. Doing it themselves. And at no time in history, has it been easy for someone to start with a lot, you know, a little bit of money. Put their music together. And get it heard by hundreds of, if not thousands of people with the help of the Internet. Obviously though, playing live, performing live. Giving away samples of your stuff. I think it's also important to know that every record company is now looking for one hit record. And a record is one song. An album, a collection of songs. But they will sign you, if you have a hit. And if you don't they will tell you to go back. And even if you got good music. They're going to send you back to get that hit."
