"I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics, and I'm going to tell you some home remedies of things that you can do to get rid of acne scars. The most important thing that you can do to get rid of acne scars is actually prevent them from happening in the first place. If you get a blemish do not pick at it. Do not rip off any layers of your skin and actually cause it to bleed or to leave a scab. If you do that that's going to definitely leave a scar, especially if you go out into the sunlight without protection, because what happens when you rip off those layers of skin and actually cause the skin to bleed is you're actually ripping off layers of dead skin cells and exposing fresh new baby skin. And if you go out into the sun without any protection that skin's going to basically hyper-pigment and leave a scar. Some other things that you can do is to use some exfoliating products. This is a really great one. It's just a blemish buffing bead. It's just got a really smooth grain, so this is going to help to basically exfoliate any dead skin, any dead, damaged skin cells, so it's going to help to exfoliate those discolored cells from the face. You can also use anything with vitamin C in it. Vitamin C is a really great brightening ingredient. And drink lots of water. That helps to basically flush any toxins, and it helps to stimulate healthy cell growth. So, those are some home remedies of things that you can do for acne scars."
