"Hi I'm Kelli I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and cosmetics. And I'm going to give you some tips on things that you can do to prevent razor bumps. One of the easiest things that you can do is to exfoliate before you shave. This is a really good exfoliant and also it has a little bit of salycilic acid in it. Salycilic acid is going to help to remove any clogging out of the pores before you shave. Cause what happens sometimes when you shave and what causes razor bumps is if you damage a follicle when you shave and it has bacteria in it and clogging it can become infected and that's where you get what's called folliculitis actually a form of ingrown hairs which is what razor bumps are. So this is an exfoliant you can just use. Basically it's going to help to unclog the pores and that's going to help to lift the hairs, you are going to get a closer shave. You also want to make sure you shave in the direction that the hair grows, never shave against the growth of the hair. That's going to basically lead to, can lead to ingrown hairs, it can lead to razor bumps, it can lead to clogged pores and also can stress the skin and give you razor burn as well. So these are some tips that you can use to prevent razor bumps."
