"Hi, I'm Kelli, I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and cosmetics, and I'm going to tell you how you can prevent razor bumps under the arms. One of the most important things that you can do is to exfoliate the area using a scrub with salicylic acid in it. Is really great. Helps to pull any impurities out of the pores, and clogging. Also lifts the hair so you can get a closer shave. One thing about the underarms is the hair kind of grows in many different directions, so what you want to actually do when you're shaving, is you want to look and try to follow the direction that the hair grows. So, if you shave against the growth of the hair, that can lead to irritation and lead to ingrown hairs and can lead to razor bumps. So, really, the next time your underarms, look and really study what direction the hair is growing in, so you can shave with the growth. Another thing that you can do, is get a post shave spray or treatment that you can spray in afterwards that's going to help prevent bascially ingrown hairs from forming. It's also anti inflammatory, so it's going to prevent any irritation, razor burn and razor bumps. So those are some tips of things that you can do to prevent bumps, razor bumps, under the arms."
