"Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics, and I'm going to give you some tips on how you can remove a self tanner. Really, the easiest thing to do is to just exfoliate. You can take a little bit of a scrub, and you can just basically work it all over the area that you are trying to remove the tan from. And this is going to help to remove the epidermis, which is the part of the skin outermost layers, where the self tanner is working. And she actually does have a self tanner on this arm. So if you do that, and then just rinse it, and take it off, you can actually see it's taking the self tanner off on the tissue. So it's basically getting rid of, because how self tanners work is they actually work with proteins within the skin, so that's working on the outermost layers. So this is getting rid of those outermost layers of skin where the self tanner is activated and working. Another thing that you can do, is you can do a peel. These are just little peel pads that basically have alpha hydroxy in it, which help to exfoliate the outermost layers of skin, as well. So you can actually take these and just kind of rub it all over the area. These especially work well if you've used a self tanner on the face. And these just help to exfoliate those outermost layers of skin, as well, and get that self tanner off. So you can see we actually still have some self tanner on the pad. So those are some things that you can do to remove a self tanner."
