"What is throat singing? It is basically singing with your throat and not, it is hard to explain. The only way to explain it I guess is to get examples of different singers. One singer that sings with his throat is probably like Michael Bolton, the guy sounds like a saxophone because he has just an open throat. You don't have much control when you have an open throat. An opposite to throat singing would be like R and B someone that uses a lot of control and tightens up their vocals so that way they can kind of go high and low like moving fast, like Michael Jackson does not throat sing at all. Liam Gallagher from Oasis. He definitely throat sings. He doesn't do a lot of technical ups and downs he just sings with his throat, definitely with his diaphragm. He is, it is definitely more for mainly rock singers that sing with their throat. So it's basically an open throat more than a tight controlled like an R and B type of style."
