How to Apply Hair Relaxer

"Hi, my name is Lauren and today I'm here to discuss how to apply a hair relaxer. One of the most important things to know about a hair relaxer and the application of it, is that you really need to do small sections in order to...in order to get every piece of hair. You're going to start by separating the hair into four quadrants. You're going to go from the top of the head to behind the ear, and then you're going to go straight back so that way, you should have four quadrants where you would go the front head, front of the head, back of the head, and you split the back into the two, front also into the two. You're going to want to start more or less in the crown area of the head. Your hairline hairs are a little bit are a little less resistant so therefore will take the product a little bit better. You want to start at the crown, and you're going to work your way down towards the bottom of your hair. Again, small sections, because you want to be able to have them be about paper pen so that way you can see through them, and so that way you know that you're covering everything that you need to. If you are doing it for the first time, and it's a virgin application, you are going to bring that straightener from root all the way down to the end of your ha...to thee end of the hair shaft. Some straighteners you need to read carefully on the box. Some straighteners allow you to use a comb in order to then kind of comb your hair down straight. So after you put it in, you actually put it, create a little bit of attention and comb it so that way it really takes that straight form. Other relaxers tell you to not comb, so if you are going to be getting a home hair relaxer, I suggest you carefully read the instructions as to what you need to do and to how that particular straightener works. The different chemicals in each straightener predict the different uses of each straightener. So definitely read the directions very thoroughly and make sure you wear gloves because you are working with chemicals. And that is how to apply a hair relaxer."
