"Hi, my name is Lauren and today I'm here to discuss how does heat straighten hair. Your hair is made out of keratin protein which is formulate of three different bonds. Your hydrogen bond, salt bond and disulfide bond. Your disulfide bond is what is going to predict the course and texture of your hair, whether it be coarse, fine, curly, straight. Your hydrogen bond is on the outer most layer of your hair cuticle and you can use your hydrogen bond and alter it by using heat. Use, when you use a hair straightener, you actually alter the hydrogen bond within your hair and temporarily create a new style for yourself, so you can take your curlier hair and you can straighten it. The heat will actually close the cuticle down over it and change up that hydrogen bond. You won't may also want to use some sort of protectant in order to, for your hair straightener. A good one is usually some more or less of your sprays or maybe even like your silicone based oils. The oils what it's going to help do is keep that hydrogen bond from opening up into thee air and being affected by humidity by coating over the cuticle. Once those hydrogen bonds are straightened, you can help it with a silicone based product, in order to keep them straightened the rest of the day. The straightener, or hair straightener will not actually straighten your hair forever, but it will for the you know, that day or for whatever days that you would like in order to get a little versatility within your style, it will help you with straightening your hair and that is how hair straighteners work."
