So you want to measure your rooms, you want to get your square footage and if you are buying wall to wall carpet one thing you might want to consider is also the size and length and width of your room. Because various carpet goods come in different widths. So you may be able to buy a single width and be able to make, install the carpet all in one length without having to seam it together which is more difficult. Of course if you are purchasing carpet you can actually do it yourself or you can purchase it with the installation. Places you can purchase it are any home improvement store, will carry the carpet in pretty good variety along with installation services. There are several specialty stores around and something that's becoming more popular are outlet type of stores where they carry discounted flooring goods including carpet, wood floor and tile.
