"Hi my name is Dave Andrews, today I'm going to talk to you about laptops that overheat and shut down. As you are using your laptop you might notice sometimes the bottom of your laptop gets really, really hot. That's because the hot air inside a laptop is not being effectively removed thereby cooling the internals of the laptop. Now if your laptop gets too hot, it has a temperature sensor in the middle of it on top of the processor that will basically cause that laptop to shut itself down. And the reason it does that is to prevent it from getting so hot that it actually fries your processor. Now there are several things you can do about that. First thing is to check the surface that you have your laptop sitting on. Make sure that it's a good solid surface, that way air can get inside the bottom of your laptop. Cause you want cool air to come in and then the fan on the side of your laptop to suck the hot air out. The next thing you can do is purchase one of these items right here. They are very inexpensive, they range from maybe twenty five to fifty dollars. And they are called laptop cooling pads. Now this is a little pad that you can set on the bottom of your laptop and it has a metal surface that very effectively sucks the heat from the laptop out. And this one also has a fan built in to it that will circulate air around the bottom of the laptop a little bit better and will help to cool the laptop down in that way. If you can keep your laptop cooler that will keep it from over heating and shutting down. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just talked to you about laptops that overheat and shut themselves down."
