"Hi my name is Dave Andrews and today I am going to talk to you a little bit about internet security. Now when you are on the internet it is a good idea to typically retain a little bit of your anonymity that you gain by being on your computer. That means basically don't give anybody any real identifying information about yourself and if you absolutely have to like you are signing up for a website or something don't give them anything that is too revealing like your address, your physical address, your phone number, those are things that you are going to want to keep private. It is typically a good idea to never ever give information such as your Social Security number or your driver's license number to any website that you ever go to unless you absolutely know that it is a government website or something like that and even then be very weary and give them a call before you do so. Also there is chat room security. You will need to make sure that you don't, people that you are talking to in chat rooms give them your phone number, you don't give them your address things like that because there are some bad people on the internet who might not have very good intentions while they are talking to you. Now I'm going to show you a little bit more of a technical issue you can do on your computer you can do as well. In your web browser that you use pull up internet explorer and you can set the security level for your internet explorer that will kind of keep out some problems such as spyware and viruses from getting on your computer and that is what is referred to as kind of a technical security kind of thing so if you click on tools in internet explorer and then go down to internet options and go up to the security tab and as you can see here in the middle of the security tab, my current security level for the internet zone is set to medium to high which is the default for internet explorer. If you are a little bit worried about internet security you can move that up to high just by moving this little dragger with your mouse or you can go down to medium and what that is going to do is it is going to allow some programs to run that might not have been allowed to run before. It is typically a good idea to keep this on medium to high all the way up to high if you absolutely have to. My name is Dave Andrews and I have just talked to you a little bit about internet security."
