"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to reset a PC to factory settings. What we're going to use to do this is our factory reset CD that ships with the computer when you purchase it. Mine is a laptop and I have my factory reset CD here so I'm going to turn my computer on and pop this factory reset CD into the CD drive. Now that point I'm going to restart my computer because it was already booting before I got the CD drive in. Now I'm just going to let it go through and boot from that CD. Once your CD boots up from your manufacturer, you'll get a recovery window, similar to this one. This one is from HP, which is might be from another manufacturer. Basically, it's going to give you step by step instructions of what you need to do to restore your computer to the factory image. So just click next to begin your recovery management. And it's going to ask you if you'd like to first run a system restore. We don't because we want to actually blow away the computer and get it back to factory. So we're going to say no. And this right here is saying, "would you like to perform a system recovery, in this case, which is yes. And as you can read the system recovery is a procedure for restoring the computer to its original factory condition. Now it's going to, mine here is going to give you the option to back up your files first. You'll need to have a CD or some sort of external media and then it begins to process or reformatting your computer. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to reset your PC to factory settings."
