Video Transcript

"Hi, this is Jessica Claire with New York Dating Coach in New York City. In this clip we're going to talk about why men lie about cheating. I thing that every person that does something to hurt someone else is likely to lie about it. Now some men lie about cheating because well they're afraid of being the bad guy. It's a human instinct to protect ones self. To protect your reputation, to protect your relationship with someone. Also no one wants to outwardly hurt someone else. In the process of cheating whether you're a man or a woman you don't always necessarily think clearly about what the consequence of your actions are. When you're faced with those consequences it's often much easier to lie then it is to come out and tell the truth. In general if a man lies to you about cheating, it is to protect you. To protect your feeling and to not hurt you. Do not take it personally; don't treat it as a lie. Treat it as self preservation. This is Jessica Claire as New York Dating Coach."
