"Hi, this is Jessica Clair with New York Dating Coach in New York City. In this clip, we're going to talk about how dating has changed from the past. Obviously, women play a much stronger, more independent role than they used to in dating. Now, we talk less of a courtship where a man woos a woman into...and charms her, and more into a sort of team effort on flirtation and becoming a couple. I think that in the past, perhaps, it was more important that a man had enough to sustain a woman -- a woman was interested in totally different things than she is now. And if you're just getting back into the dating scene, it's a good idea to sort of talk to your friends and your family -- to young people -- about what it is that makes dating different from maybe the time when you first got married or when you were younger and in college because every five or ten years, dating takes a big turn. Even myself, in 10 years, may have to discuss with my friends how to get back into the dating scene. This is Jessica Claire in New York City."
