How to Draw Winter Clothes

"Okay folks, in this clip we're going to learn how to draw winter clothes. Clothes like jackets and things. One of the best ways to do that is to kind of come in and start with the collar. Most winter jackets have collars, not at all uncommon. In this case we're going to be drawing a sort of double breasted type of thing... simple jacket, collar up on top, sleeves that come down... comes down to there. Maybe even draw sort of a waist band thing that cinches up along the bottom there. Again the whole idea of drawing winter clothes is to draw a design that look like it will keep someone warm and then, you know, to try and draw something fashionable as well. Drawing, say winter boots also, coming on down, always add a little bit of texture to them along the sides. Draw the bottom portion of the boot there. Give it a little bit of a heel. You know, depending on your choice, you can create sort of a fashion look for these as well, drawing buttons maybe down the sides or something along those lines just to give it maybe a fancier look. But essentially at the end of the day, drawing winter clothes is mainly just about drawing something that looks like it would stand up under cold weather. Feel free to add detail to it as the case allows. But basically learning how to draw simple designs for coats, boots scarfs, mittens... essentially all you really need when learning to draw winter clothes."
