"Okay folks, in this clip we're going to talk about how to draw summer clothes, anything from dresses to maybe swim wear. The trick is to match the feel of the season. Obviously if you're designing sort of like more a... something a little be more beachy, something maybe to wear out to the beach, you come in and give it that extra summery sort of a feel. Add some flowers to it. You know, just kind of keep the look of the material matching the occasion that it's for. Like if you're going to draw a summer dress, you might draw it in a similar way. Just give it as opposed to a winter dress, which would be a lot more... cover a lot more. And there'd be a lot more... obviously it'd be a lot heavier and it'd be a lot warmer. Summer dresses are a little bit more happy and light and frilly and have a little bit more just sort of a breezy quality to them. See what I'm saying. Sam with shorts. Obviously in the winter time you won't really be wearing shorts but, you know, the shorts not... it shouldn't just be plain boring. They ought to match the feel of the time. If it's supposed to be a summer type of shorts, you know, you want to make sure that you make them feel that way. And we're assuming also, just from the style of these that you're drawing for girls and not boys. I'm going to assume. But, you know, basically take a little time to think as a designer, what you want your clothes... the attitude you want them to have, what you want them to reflect, and really just take the time to sort of experiment a little bit instead of just drawing something really basic and plain. Add some personality to it... Just a few ideas of different types of summer clothes."
