on 2/7/2009 Whoa now guy, "Get down the crazy eyes and hair and you're 90% to drawing manga". Manga art can be incredibly detailed and intricate. See here for an examnple, ( http://www.onemanga.com/Bakuman/1/018/ ). Now compared to the artwork in this particular manga your drawing is clearly the work of an amateur. I'm not trying to deride your ability but this is "expert" village so people will just assume you have extensive knowledge about manga unless you tell them otherwise.

For people wishing to know more about the manga industry from the viewpoint of true Mangakas (title for manga creators), then I encourage you to read the following manga. http://www.onemanga.com/Bakuman/1/001/

"Alright folks in this clip we're going to talk about how to draw manga. I've been drawing manga. I can tell you right now there are really only two things that you need to keep in mind. And they're two things that once you've mastered them, you're well on your way to becoming an accomplished manga artist. Once you got the eyes down... once you have the hair down, you are well well well on your way. Now that is not necessarily easy though 'cause there's a distinctive style and many many different ways actually within the world of manga to accomplish these things. Now, one thing I kind of like to do is first of all go ahead and study some famous manga artists to kind get you on the same page with the rest of the manga admirer community. When you're starting to draw the eyes, really carefully carefully study different types of styles to come in and really nail the eyes... 'cause if you can nail the eyes then you are well on your way. It is not the easiest thing in the world. The noses are always very small in comparison to the eyes. Mouths too are generally not that detailed. Faces: very shapely and cute, very round. Now the hair... that's when things start to get crazy 'cause manga style is known for it's long crazy strandsy hair... signature. Something about the way the Japanese people love to draw their characters with long big flowing crazy hairstyles too. Not just your boring old hair, you know, down across the face. No no, these characters have long flowing ponytails and things that really make a much more interesting character design. I can tell you that. Much more interesting to look at definitely. So that's one great place to start. Once you can master the face and the eyes and the hair, the pose is really not that... is secondary honestly. The style... in capturing the style, all you really need to do is learn how to draw a really great pair of manga eyes and a really great manga hairstyle. Once you've done those things, you are ninety percent on... like complete when it comes to knowing how to draw manga. So get the crazy hairstyles and get the crazy eye style down first. And then I'd recommend moving on from there."
