"Tricks for white teeth. Hi, I'm Dr. David Wagner, Northwood Dental, Clearwater, Florida. Today we're going to talk about ways that you can whiten your teeth and make them look healthy and bright. The best thing you could do to make your teeth look white is to get them healthy. Pink, healthy gums are a nice compliment to your natural teeth. Now teeth can be discolored from foods, drinks, smoking, different things that would cause over a period of time discoloration of the teeth. And so any of those that can be avoided would be useful. Many home things that people do with lemons on their teeth which is an acid or brushing peroxide on their teeth can have a somewhat of an effect but they also have their limitations and drawbacks. The hydrogen peroxide solution we use in the office to whiten the teeth is applied through a special tray that controls the amount of solution that's applied to your tooth. These little blue marks create a reservoir that we can then apply this and contain it right against your tooth for quite some time and that way we can get a lot whiter than you would do if you were just brushing on them at home and you can prevent any damage to your tooth. So those are of the ways you can make your teeth whiter but the best thing of course is to floss and brush and keep those gums healthy. Have a nice, white smile. I'm Dr. David Wagner, Northwood Dental, Clearwater, Florida."
