"Hello. I'm going to talk to you about gum stimulators and gum disease. My name is Dr. David Wagner, Clearwater, Florida, Northwood Dental. Gum disease, better known as periodontal disease, is an accumulation of debris and bacteria between the teeth and gums. As you can see here, this debris builds up underneath the gums and causes redness, inflammation and infection in your gums. This little triangular-shaped toothpick, if you will, is a stimulator, and is shaped to fit between the teeth and the gums, and at the same times it cleans it massages the gums, removes toxins and acids from that area to get rid of the infection and the inflammation to make your gums healthier, less foul breath and less infection to spread throughout the rest of your body. Gum disease has been shown to affect heart disease and make people have many other medical illnesses. So again, gum disease is preventable. I'm Dr. David Wagner, Northwood Dental, Clearwater, Florida."
