So you want to get a record contract? Well let me let you know a few of the things that you should be looking for and the things that lies in a record contract. From key point terms and conditions of that contract, how long is the contract, what are the conditions of it, the points you may receive off each record sales, royalties, rights, venues, your can's your can'ts, things you will and things you won't, also at the same time basically stated in the contract is a general agreement of what the label is willing to give and do for you, requirements and promises that they have obtained and promise to make you within a certain limit of time as far as what they expect to make and for you to do for them in that same amount of time. When it comes to any record contract I suggest that you get an entertainment lawyer to look over it, sit down before you go signing anything because you never know what could be in there or what you could be signing away. A lot of things reside within that contract, where you are going to be going, what you will be doing, how much you will be making, contracts are very important so don't be just excited about getting one but know what it is about when you get it and what it is you just signed yourself to.
