Hi, I'm Donna Barnes. I'm a life and dating coach and owner of NY Dating Coach here in New York City. In this clip, we'll talk about how to talk to a new boyfriend, and be yourself is the best advice I can give you, and I know that's hard when you get nervous, but rule number one, never ever talk about past relationships. Guys want to feel like they're thee only man in your life. They don't want to hear about all these other past stuff, so cut that off. If he asks about your past, make it brief and and don't linger on that, and in the beginning of a relationship, it's really discovering the things that your, you have in common and that you'll be able to do together because commonality is a big part of what makes a relationship successful, so talk about what you like to do, talk about your hobbies. Share a little bit about your family history, but if you have some big, horrible family secret, save that for when you get to know each other. Trust needs to be established, so you don't want to spill out all your deep dark secrets until you really know that you can trust this person to value what you tell them, and to not hold it against you.
