"Are you looking at antique mirrors and you're not quite sure what to get? I'm Blake Kennedy and I'm at Patty and Friends Antique Mall in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Antique mirrors, there's quite a variety of antique mirrors whether it's wood, metal, you just want to make sure that you know where you're putting that antique mirror. So go and take the measurements whether it's in your bedroom or it's in your bathroom, you got to make sure you know what type of mirror you're looking for before you go out and buy. So you want to get out and hit the antique shops and the antique malls. The antique malls are a good choice to go to because you have a variety of people with inside that mall that would be 40 or 50 or 60 different dealers so the choices might be very good at finding that antique mirror. And the reason I tell you you want to make sure you know where you're putting that antique mirror, you certainly don't want to put a natural wood mirror that hasn't been stained or varnished or painted inside of a bathroom where there's a lot of moisture because it'll suck right into that wood and ruin that antique mirror in no time at all. So just make sure you know where you're putting in. Another thing that people always ask me is how come the silvering on that mirror looks a little funny? Well that is the original mirror that came with that frame and is probably 100 years old and they say well how can I get rid of that, it doesn't look good. Well some people like to keep it and keep it original because they're not looking into the mirror every single day but if you're looking in that mirror everyday, you can have it re-silvered so it's the original glass from the 1800's, but if it doesn't look good at all and it can't be repaired, don't be afraid to put a new mirror behind it and if you want to go with a beveled mirror, you'll spend a little bit more money, but don't be afraid to change the mirror out especially if it's a mirror, antique mirror that you're going to be using everyday. You have quite a few choices out there when you hit the antique shops so pick out the right one that makes you look good. I'm Blake Kennedy."
