"Hi, I'm Harvey Woodyatt, owner of Perfect Tan here in Orem, Utah. It's a full service tanning salon and we have over twenty tanning beds as well as a state of the art spray on system. I often get asked, how do I get tan and how do I keep my tan long? You know the key is, tanning is a process, take it slow, build your tan base, use a good indoor tanning lotion. Usually the tanning staff will help you with your tanning and exposure times. You don't want to overexpose, if you feel prickly or stingy you've overdone it. Continue to come back on a regular basis. You know you're not going to get tan in one tanning session. Tanning is a process. I often have people come in and say I'm going on vacation this Saturday, I need a tan. You can't get a tan that quick. Tanning is a process, it takes a matter of time. To keep your tan too, moisturize. You know you want to use a good indoor tanning lotion that's approved, that doesn't harm the tanning acrylic. And the other thing is is when you get home, use a good lotion and keep yourself moisturized. You'll keep your tan usually two to three days longer, you know, between sessions, by staying nice and moist at home. Don't dry your skin out. If you start drying your skin out, you're going to flake your tan away. So always remember, moisturize at home always, especially before you go to bed."
