What Is the Proper Way to Tan?

"Hi, I'm Harvey Woodyatt, owner of Perfect Tan here in Orem, Utah. We're a full service tanning salon with over twenty tanning beds, and a state-of-the-art spray-on system. I often get asked what's the proper way to tan in a tanning bed? We usually walk everybody back to the room and show em' how all the timing system works, the fan, and everything else with the tanning bed, so make sure that your salon attendant takes you back and shows you how to use that tanning salon's bed. Now, always make sure, to get a good tan you're going to want to use an indoor approved tanning lotion, and you can usually get that from your tanning staff at at the front desk. When you come back, most people tan in the nude, you you know. Feel secure in a tanning facility. You want to get undressed. You want to apply your lotion, and then turn on the tanning bed. A typical tanning bed has a canopy and a bottom bench. There's no reason that you have to turn over halfway through. Once you get your tanning solution on you turn on the tanning bed, and then you crawl into the bed and lay down on your back. We have a comfortable pillow. Reach up and pull down on the tanning bed. Make sure that you always wear your tanning goggles. They are a must, because the UVA will go right through your eyelids, so you need to make sure you're going to wear the goggles. You're not going to get raccoon eyes, like that's a myth, but you're going to get, you're still going to get tan in in all areas, but always protect the eyes. And once the session is over just lift up on the canopy, get out. Feel free to use any of the amenities in the room, get dressed, and then leave."
