"Hello, my name is Staff Sergeant Montgomery with the United States Marine Corps Recruiting Office here in West Valley City, Utah. Today we're here talking about why Marines remove their covers whenever indoors. The reason Marines remove their covers indoors is it's a sign of respect. So, Marines, being the traditional that we are, we definitely follow this tradition, as well as the salute. We salute as a sign of respect. We take off our covers as a sign of respect, to show trust. Now a Marine who is on guard, or on duty, are usually armed. They will then have their cover on, so you know that they are on duty. If you would like to learn more about the Marine Corps and it's traditions, please give me a call at 801-967-9815, or visit the website at www.marines.com."
