Video: Watercolor Windmill Tracing Techniques

So, we've lined up the outline with the paper and we have the graphite transfer paper in between. This particular kind is the art kind and it is erasable. But, if you get the kind with grease in it like standard typewriter carbon paper it's not erasable. So, what we're going to do is draw the outline out. And, this windmill in particular it looks like it's in the middle of a field so it can collect wind from the breeze coming across the field. And, I'm drawing in the different parts of the windmill blades. It's not necessary to draw every part in. And, this is the edge of the windmill. It's a cylindrical windmill. And, we're going to put some of the grass down here and just a few marks where the village in the background is going to go. This is some tall grasses in the area. So, there's not a lot of drawing to this one. It's more going to be painting. Do the door here. Need some structure in order to find out where you're at in the painting. Let's check it to see. And, it draws it pretty lightly. Depending on the brand and type of transfer paper, it's going to draw it's going to be more or less efficient.
