Now I've got a nice layer of ink on the surface of my print. I'm going to add a bit of ink to certain areas, just to make sure I have a really nice printing service to print from. And when I do print- you can see to a certain degree with the ink where the raised surfaces are, you can also see some of the carved marks in between that are also picking up the ink. Now I'm going to get ready to print onto paper. The printing that we're doing today is hand printing, which is to say where using our hands in order to print from the block of wood. It is a more complicated, or I should say difficult process than if I was printing with a press, which is going to give me a nice even pressure. What I will get out of hand printing is that I can have a lot more individuality in the way that it is printed and how the ink is pressed onto the paper; my hand will show more in this process. So now that I've got the ink on here, I'm going to set it up for printing.
