"It's very important to have an understanding of the basic speeds of your record. Records are played either at 33 or at 45. Old records are played at 78, which is obviously 33 plus 45, but these turntables aren't set up to play 78's and I doubt you're really going to want to spin any 78's at the club. This record I have here on the first turntable is at 33, so when I play it, and the button is at 33, is you press just to keep it at 33, that was already on 33, it sounds correct. If you want to change it to 45, you hit the 45 button. This is incorrect for this particular record, though you may want to play it at that speed if you feel like it, 33 sounds more correct. This record over here is at 45. If I put it on at 33 it's not going to sound the way you think you're going to want to hear it, but at 45...that's the way you want it. Not working out...doing good! So to switch it, it's just as easy as hitting the button, and they react instantly on a turntable of this quality. So that's how you use the 33 and the 45 buttons."
