How Easy Is It to Get Published?

"Hi, I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshops.com, and I'm going to talk about how easy it is to get published. That's a really interesting question, and the answer is it depends. The reason it depends is it really depends on what you're trying to get published, and then, to some extent how experienced you are, what your background is, because if you are a celebrity and you have a little children's book you want to get published it should be really easy. If you're relatively new, or you're new to writing and you're trying to write a novel that might be quite a bit more difficult to get published. So, it really does depend who you are and what you're writing, but at the same time there's some things that everyone can do to make getting published easier, and one of them is presenting a really professional package when you are submitting your materials. Another one is just do lots and lots of research, and really fine tune your pitch to match the publisher so that you know exactly what kinds of things they like, and you make your book look as much like what they like as you possibly can. Really, try and find, only submit your your work to someone you think it's a really really good fit for. So, knowing their catalog and knowing what kinds of things that they have on their wish list for the future will really help you to to become more successful. I I think another way to answer the question when say; it's never... Writing a book and finding a publisher is work. It's never very easy. There might be a rare person who stumbles into it, but it's it's it's work. It takes work, and you have to really be focused on it and dedicated to it. And if you are you'll be rewarded, and you'll find that things will go well for you. So, that's a little bit about how easy it is to get published."
