Canada has legal home schooling and each individual province has some specific regulations. I believe in Ontario you need to file something with the provincial administration of education each year so definitely check with Ontario about exactly what it is that you need to do to meet that requirement. In your local area you will want to find out about a community or network of home schooling families. This will give you some other people to share ideas with, do extracurricular experiences, have field trips together. You will want to find out about what is already existing and trying to find one that will fit your needs, looking for one where kids are about the same age as your children. You can also probably use this network or just use other means to find tutors or other classes that you might find useful as a home schooling family in your area of Ontario so again check with your provincial ministry of education so that you are able to be sure to meet all of the requirements for legal home schooling in Ontario and also find a local group that you can join to be part of to support your home schooling."
