Video Transcript

"Hi, I'm Donna Barnes, I'm a life and dating coach and owner of NY Dating Coach here in New York City. In this clip we'll talk about how to remain single and that might seem the opposite of what some of you are trying to do but it really is good to take a break from dating and to really establish who you are and love yourself completely and know who you are before you get into a relationship. So until you one hundred percent know who you are and what you want out of life you should stay single. So, a great way to do that is you know when you're out at a party, be friendly and be open, but if someone asks you for your number or asks if you'd like to go out, let them know, I'm taking a break from dating right now. I'm focusing on me. It's a perfectly fine answer and I think they'll be intrigued by that. Another thing is to really spend some quality time with your like-sex friends. If you're a girl, with your girlfriends, a guy with your guy friends, and really bond those relationships. Those relationships can stay for the rest of your life, and when you get into a relationship you shouldn't lose your friends anyway. So really make yourself the focus and focus on the things that you want to do and you'll have no problem remaining single. This is Donna Barnes from New York City."
